Journal 11:In N Out & Carl's Jr

In N Out and Carl's Jr are American restaurant which I usually eat because I like to eat hamburgers. These two restaurants both sell fast food such as hamburgers, fresh fries, soft drinks and so on. But there are some differences between them. In N Out just sells hamburgers and fresh fries and soft drink and it doesn't sell health meal like lettuce, so it's menu is very simple, but it has secret menu. And secret menu just represent on it's website. And I know that In N Out's fresh fries is made of a potato, so it taste kind of different. Carl's Jr sells mexico style humburger I think because of it's sauce in hamburger. And it has many meals, so every time I plan to go there, I have to spend more time thinking what meal I should order.Finally,I think there are Carl's Jr has more chains than In N Out.

Journal#10:Redondo Beach

I didn't go to beach party. I have planed to go to Redondo beach already two weeks ago. Because my friends came to see me, I have to think of some plans for them. I heard that someone told me that there are delicious cabs in Redondo beach. So, my friends, my brother, my cousin, my girlfriend and I went there together to eat cabs. The restaurant' name is "Pacific fish center & restaurant." We ordered four cabs and a spicy tofu soup and seafood combo. We all a were very full because Cabs are really delicious. But it was kind of expensive because it is seafood. And then, we went to the beach and did tannig. We felt very comfortable and relax. Bevause it was kind of cold, we didn't touch seawater. Around six o'clock we left there. We thought it was a wonderful day.

Journal#7:the Country I would like to visit the most

The country I would like to visit the most is China. Last year I visited a very little city there. Becasuse my cousin has a factory there, I went to visit his factory and he brought me to visit the city. That is my first to trip to China. I thought everywhere inChina was barbarism. But when I visit there last year, I changed my attitude. I found it was more modern than I thought. And everything there was very cheap. Sometime I felt I was a emperor when I walked on the street because the level and quality of life in Taiwan are better and Chinese think Taiwanese are very rich and they will think highly of Taiwanese. Besides, I am very interested in China history and culture. In China I can see many real things such as ancient buildings about China history with my own eyes and those I just could see the pictures in my textbook before. And there are different culture including foods, language, activities and so on in every province. I just visit a little city of China. I have never visited big cities such as Shanghai and Beijing. I heard that because Olympic will be held in Beijing, Beijing will become more modren and beautiful and convenient. That is very interesting to me. So, after I finish my school, I certainly will visit there again.

Journal#6:Chinese New Year

I think there is no holiday like 4th of July in Taiwan. Because the relationship between Taiwan and China is indefinite. Taiwanese think Taiwan is an independent country because we have our own President and government, and the government of Taiwan is not controled by the government of China. However, Chinese think Taiwan is a county of China. So, I hope we, Taiwanese, will have our own Independent Day in the future. But in Taiwan, the biggest holiday is Chinese New Year. I believe Chinese New Year is the biggest holiday in many countries of Asia. When I was young, I like Chinese New Year because aults who has jobs have to give money to children as Spring Festival gift. And then I will spend money buying a new toy and fireworks to celebrate this festival. And everyone will say "Happy Chinese New Year" to each other. The most important thing is that all familiy memebers have to gather together for Chinese New Year eve dinner, so all restaurants will close at that night. However, my father always told me he didn't like it. Because all familiy memebers have to houseclean and give money to children and buy some gifts to go to relatives and friends house to visit them, he thought he was very tired and spend lots of money. But it is the most traditional and biggest holiday in Taiwan and we celebrate it annually. My father, bear it unless you can change it.

Journal#5:Trip to Disneyland

I didn't go to Knott's Berry Farm last Friday because I have had planed to visit Disneyland with my girlfriend and my cousin. We saw many things about Disney. And we played some fun facilities there. Because Disneyland is very wide, we have no enough time to play and visit all the things and facilities. At 4 p.m., we saw the parade which performed in some subjects about Disney cartoons. Many children were very happy and excitied. But I was not excitied because I am old. After that, we went to my friend's house for swimming. We ate tortellini for dinner. Because we made tortellini by ourselves, it tasted very delicious. And it was very very interesting for us. It was a very special experience for me.
